Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how Original Heart LLC (“Original Heart”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile apps (the “Apps”) and this website. It applies to every App we publish on the Apple App Store and Google Play unless an App shows you a different policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide
- Content you create in an App (for example entries, notes, settings). Unless an App clearly says it syncs to the cloud, this content is stored only on your device and in your device’s own backups (iCloud or Google backup), not on our servers.
- Messages you send us, such as support emails, including your email address and anything you choose to include (screenshots, device details).
- Account information, only if an App offers an optional account: typically your email address or a “Sign in with Apple” / “Sign in with Google” identifier.
Information collected automatically
- Purchase information: which subscription or in-app purchase you have, purchase and renewal dates, price, currency, and store country. Payments are processed by Apple or Google. We never receive your credit card or bank details.
- Usage data: which screens and features are used, button taps, session length, and app events such as “onboarding completed”.
- Device and app data: device model, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and a random identifier created when the App is installed.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, error logs, and performance data.
- Approximate location: country or region derived from your IP address. We do not collect precise (GPS) location unless an App asks for your permission for a specific feature and explains why.
We do not use your device’s advertising identifier (IDFA / Android Advertising ID), and we do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
2. How we use information
- To provide the Apps and their features.
- To process subscriptions and in-app purchases, unlock paid features, and let you restore purchases on a new device.
- To find and fix bugs and crashes.
- To understand, in aggregate, which features are used so we can improve the Apps.
- To answer your support requests.
- To prevent fraud and abuse, and to comply with legal, tax, and accounting obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, or use it to build advertising profiles.
3. Third-party services (SDKs)
Our Apps use the following service providers. They process data on our behalf and are not allowed to use it for their own purposes. Not every App uses every service; the App Store “App Privacy” label and the Google Play “Data safety” section for each App list exactly what that App collects.
| Service | Purpose | Data it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Apple App Store / Google Play | App distribution, payments, subscriptions | Your store account and payment details (handled by Apple/Google, not shared with us) |
| RevenueCat | Managing subscriptions and restoring purchases | Random app user ID, purchase receipts and history, device and app info, store country |
| PostHog and/or Google Firebase Analytics | Product analytics (which features are used) | Usage events, random install ID, device and app info, approximate location from IP |
| Sentry and/or Firebase Crashlytics | Crash and error reporting | Crash logs, stack traces, device state, app version, random install ID |
| Expo (EAS Update) | Delivering app updates and bug fixes | App version, platform, device type, IP address |
We may also share information if required by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or as part of a merger or sale of our business (in which case this policy will continue to apply to your information).
4. How long we keep data
- Content on your device: until you delete it or uninstall the App.
- Analytics and crash data: no longer than 24 months, often less.
- Purchase records: as long as needed to provide your subscription and to meet tax and accounting requirements.
- Support emails: as long as needed to help you, then deleted within 24 months.
5. How to delete your data
You can delete your data at any time. You do not need to create an account to do so.
- Data on your device: delete it inside the App, or uninstall the App. To remove it from backups, also delete the App’s data from iCloud (Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage) or your Google backup.
- If the App has an account: open the App and go to Settings → Account → Delete Account. This deletes your account and the data linked to it from our systems.
- Everything else we or our service providers hold (analytics, crash reports, purchase records linked to your random user ID, support emails): email support@originalheart.us with the subject “Delete my data”. Please include the App name and, if available, the Support ID shown in the App’s Settings screen so we can find your records. We will confirm by email and complete the deletion within 30 days.
Deleting your data does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first in your Apple ID or Google Play settings (see how to cancel). Apple and Google keep their own purchase records under their own privacy policies. We may keep minimal records where the law requires it (for example, tax records).
6. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to withdraw consent. To exercise any of these rights, email support@originalheart.us. We will respond within 30 days and will not treat you differently for exercising your rights.
- California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information and do not use sensitive personal information for purposes other than providing the Apps. The categories we collect are listed in section 1.
- EEA, UK, and Swiss residents (GDPR): we process data to perform our contract with you (providing the Apps and purchases), for our legitimate interests (fixing crashes, improving the Apps, preventing fraud), and to comply with legal obligations. You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
7. Children
Our Apps are not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security and international transfers
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS) and reputable service providers to protect your information, but no method of storage or transmission is 100% secure. We are based in the United States, and our service providers may process data in the United States and other countries. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the App or on this page before the change takes effect.
